To help you more fully enjoy the "Gadabout Experience" we are pleased to present the Gadabout glossary to help you navigate through the world of beauty with ease.
- Our Team:
- Our design teams work on a system which measures experience, expertise and years of education. We are continually searching for and developing the finest, most contemporary techniques to maximize the Gadabout Experience for you.
- Skill Sets:
- The system that measures the expertise, experience, and years of education of our technicians in all departments. Service fees may vary by technician depending on their skill set.
- Intern:
- A licensed technician, in all departments, who is currently in Gadabout’s Advanced Education program.
- Home Care:
- Continuing the Gadabout experience at home by using products that support the service you receive in the salon and prolong its benefits.
Hair Department
- Wet Lounge:
- The area where your hair is bathed and treated while you enjoy soothing music and soothing ocean videos.
- Bathe:
- Having your hair washed and your scalp massaged in our wet lounge.
- Bathe & Finish:
- A service where your hair is bathed and styled with no cut. A treatment can be added for luminosity and renewed nourishment to leave hair soft, supple and shiny.
- Spa Cut:
- A service in addition to your consultation, cut, and finish, where you receive a customized Kérastase in-salon conditioning and fortifying treatment that transforms the hair fiber from within leaving the hair soft, supple, and shiny.
- Formal Design:
- A special occasion style — usually done up.
- Studio Stylist:
- An intern that has graduated from Gadabout’s advanced cutting program. This stylist does not perform chemical services.
- Stylist:
- A technician who has completed all phases and graduated from Gadabout’s two year advanced education program.
- Advanced Stylist:
- A technician who has done a minimum of 6,000 hair cuts.
- Designer Stylist:
- A technician who has done a minimum of 12,000 hair cuts.
- Artist Stylist:
- A technician who has done a minimum of 18,000 hair cuts.
- Master Stylist:
- A technician who has done a minimum of 20,000 hair cuts.
Skin, Body, and Nail Technician
- Studio Technician:
- An intern that is currently enrolled in Gadabout’s advanced education program and has graduated from specific services.
- Designer Technician:
- A technician who has completed all phases and graduated from Gadabout’s advanced education program.
- Artist Technician:
- A technician who maintains a productivity rate of 80%.
- Master Technician:
- A technician who maintains a productivity rate of 87%.
